Jewelry Care

18k solid gold pieces

Solid gold is more resistant to tarnishing than silver and some other metals, but can still tarnish and scratch over time.

Try to avoid its contact with cosmetics and chemicals as they can also damage your gemstones, specially porous gems like opals, turquoise and pearls.

Always store it in a clean and dry spot, like a fabric pouch.

Gold/rhodium plated 950 silver pieces

950 silver tends to oxidate quicker than 18k solid gold. Our plating is high quality and very resistant, but requires special care in terms of contact with humidity, salted water, cosmetics and other chemicals.

Always store it in a clean and dry spot, like a fabric pouch.

Opals

Brazilian opals are the hardest and most resistant opals in the world, and can get in contact with water as stay dry without causing any damage to its quality or color. However, they are porous and softer stones, in the scale of 5 to 6.5, which means they are sensitive to any chemical absorption and can break easier than diamonds, rubies or emeralds.

Doublet opals are two layers of solid opals and dark backing glued together. They should not get soaked or immersed.

How to clean your jewelry at home

Brush gently your jewelry with warm soapy water, rinse and get it dry before storing. Pearls specifically shouldn't get wet, so you should use a damp cloth with lukewarm water and soap.
